Moving

So, my vacation in Florida was awesome! I was a total beach bum. And I got my fill of seafood, which I love! Back to reality now though...

Looks like no one commented this past week. I'm sure you're busy...or maybe you didn't like my question!

So, my parents are moving to Texas next Monday, which I am very sad about! We have all lived in Indy since I was six years old. My mom got a really good job offer though, and it seems like all signs are pointing to yes for them to move there. I want them to be happy, but it's going to be really hard when they leave.

Have you moved alot/lived in alot of different places? If so, where? What was your favorite place? If you had the chance to move anywhere right now, where would you go and why?

I can't believe I missed last weeks question, either. (I could have earned more rewards points!!!)
I really hate it when I miss those chances.

Anyway, my parents have our house on the market right now so when it sells, we can move to Baltimore, Maryland. This will be my first time moving; I've lived here in Indiana all my life.
My Mom recently had an interview at Johns Hopkins University when we were on vacation up there, and we hope to rent a home when we get there.

I moved once when I was 2, but I don't really remember it that much. I might move to Texas if my dad can't find a stable computer job here...but, you know, whatever, I can't really do anything about that...

Oh, man!! I can't believe I missed the last question! That one looked like so much fun! Since no one answered it, maybe you could do it again? In the future...? Hopefully...?

My family moved almost constantly until I was 5, but since then we haven't moved at all. The company that my dad works with has him doing a bit of foreign traveling, so every few years we get an offer to move overseas for a temporary stationing (anywhere from 6 months to 2 years). Each time that comes up we always talk about moving, and play "what if" but nothing ever comes of it.

I can totally sympathize with you about the whole "computer job" market, Ashley. It hasn't been good since 9/11. My dad was a contractor, and hardly anyone was hiring, so he moved down to Tennessee for almost a year. We almost moved down there, but then he found a contracting job up here. Seriously, I'd pray about it, though. I know that sounds cheesy, but we were doing a Christmas novena so that my dad would get a job up here, and on Christmas Eve he got a call with a job offer. Cool stuff. Anyways, good luck!
