I was recently reviewing websites that detailed cost saving ideas and compiled these 12 “power savers”. They include average savings per month and annually.
Being someone who loves a cup of morning java, I have to admit it was tough putting that first one on the list. Although I do understand tough economic times call for some drastic measures! In all seriousness, when you add up the savings by cutting back on a few items it is amazing how easy meeting day to day expenses become.
When you look at this list I see a couple of potential car payments, a mortgage payment or even better, some money to go toward education or retirement.I recommend setting aside 15 minutes and making your own cost savings list today. After the excitement of seeing what you can save in real $$$, match that list next to your monthly expenses. Here is where the fun part comes in……
Draw lines from your cost saving $$ to your expenses and poof! You just made a nice little budget for yourself.Looking for more ideas to save? Stop in a FORUM branch today and meet with a Financial Coach. I guarantee they can find a few more ways to get your money working harder for you.
